Senator,Republic of France, visit and work with College of Urban Works Construction and Training Centre for Water and Environment
On November, 2010, Senator Jacques Oudin (Republic of France) visited and worked at College of Urban Works Construction and Training Centre for Water and Environment (CNEE) on linking capacity, training assistance in Viet Nam.

Dr. Nguyen Ba Thang, Secretary of Party, Principal, Director of CNEE led the mission of the college, greeted and worked with Mr Jacques Oudin. Attending along with Dr. Nguyen Ba Thang, there are Mr Bui Hong Hue, Vice Director; Mr Dao Viet Ha, Head of Research and International Cooperation Department; Mr Vu Minh Giang, Vice Director of CNEE
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Ba Thang introduced the overview of college and CNEE ‘s development. He affirmed that Cooperation Project with France during the 1997-2005 period and CNEE establishment were assesed by two countries’ government that it was one of the best successful projects between Viet Nam and France. After handing over the entire CNEE to Viet Nam, CNEE still affirms its position and prestige in the country on training and fostering water supply and sewerage speciality. With its development, CUWC has developed the common objective to become university in the 2011-2015 period according to plans and networks of universities and colleges in the country.
Mr Jacques Oudin highly appreciates the college’s development, expecially facilities and environmental landscape. He also asked a lot of questions about the development plan in its coming period, and desire to become the linking point between the college and the partner in consulting, helping, supporting during the construction of its development project to become a university specialized in urban infrastructure and to establish sustainable and nice relationship.
Dr. Nguyen Ba Thang would like to thank French partner’s re-cooperattion goodwill with the college and affirm that the college is willing to enlarge development and training cooperation with internal and external partners.
Both sides hope that the discussed matters still will be taken care of their common interests.
